Vispect was found in 2015. The team led by Mu Yang includes professionals in fields of management, algorithm, hardware, software, manufacturing, and marketing. The team has been passionate to apply the latest Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence technology to vehicles and machinery, to improve driving and operating safety through new products.
OUR HISTORY
Established in 2015
In 2015, Vispect (GuangZhou) was established, and received its angel investment in the same year. Vispect (ZheJiang) was established later. In 2022, Vispect (ZheJiang) acquired Vispect (GuangZhou) and received the Series A investment from venture capital.
2015-2019: Essential AI Research
From 2015 to 2019, Vispect focused on essential research in AI-based image recognition algorithms. After a long-term process of development, verification, and optimization, the company shifted its focus from algorithms to products in 2019.
2019-2021: Core Technology Becomes Competitive
Vispect became a global leader in AI-based Pedestrian (Vulnerable Road User) Detection technology. In tests conducted by the German Automobile Association (ADAC) on August 5, 2021, Vispect ranked the first in four out of five testing items. This technology has broad potential applications in vehicle blind spot detection, traffic safety, anti-theft systems, railway driving safety, and construction site safety.
2021-2023: Embracing Opportunities and Business Growth
Our team grew from 17 in 2021 to 51 persons in 2023. With our newly-opened factory, the new machines introduced, and the ISO 9000 and the TS16949 standards adopted, we are proud that Vispect can provide more reliable products and systems to our users.
2024: Becoming an Industry Pioneer
By January 2024, Vispect has obtained 47 intellectual property rights, including six patents and 41 software copyrights, while most of these properties are about artificial intelligence and automatic control application.
Vispect will continue working hard to provide global users with reliable products and more friendly services, and to create sustainable value for our society.

Mu Yang: CEO & Founder with 20 years of global tech experience and collaboration expertise.
The founder, Mu Yang, from the Department of Computer Science of Zhejiang University, have studied and worked in North America and the UK for almost 20 years. In addition to the in-house independent research and development, Vispect has also been cooperating closely with Professor Chen Wenzhi's doctoral team (from the School of Computer Science of Zhejiang University), in the fields of embedded systems, mobile computing, automotive electronics, computer architecture, and multi-core architecture.

OUR REALM
Vispect have been applying the latest achievements of AI technology to improve working safety of logistics, public transportation, heavy laboring, and construction.
Vispect's major products and systems include Advanced Driver/Operator Assistance Systems (ADAS) for automobiles, construction machinery, subways, among other machines and vehicles. These systems utilize camera image recognition and multi-sensor fusion technologies, including cameras, LiDAR, and radar, to enhance safety and efficiency.
There are two categories of Vispect products: the Standard Products and the Solutions. Standard Products are the cost-effective devices massively manufactured and applied. A Standard Product system is neat and clean, usually consisting of one host and two or four cameras, to provide function as Front Collision Warning or Blind Spot Detection for vehicles and machines. Solutions refer to complex systems that consist of multiple hosts, a remote data center (if required), and an array of sensors, including cameras, LiDAR, gyroscopes, and others. Solutions are usually customized in small quantity but at higher costs. The parts of a Solution come from Vispect and other brands, while Vispect integrates the parts into a system.
Standard Product
Designed to enhance vehicle safety and efficiency through cutting-edge technology and seamless integration.
Standard Products and Solutions provide functions such as Front Collision Avoidance, Lane Departure Warning, Pedestrian Detection, Driver Status Monitoring/Fatigue System, etc. Some Vispect systems can exchange information, communicate, and interact with the vehicles, to control the vehicles to brake, stop, turn, and accelerate if needed, when the relevant interfaces are provided. Besides, Some Vispect systems, with 4G wireless module inside, are able to exchange data with cloud-based data center, to provide remote reports, remote maintenance, and remote setting.
Solution
Engineered to meet specific client requirements, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in specialized applications.
Solutions refer to complex systems consisting of hosts, remote data center (if needed), and more sensors as camera, LiDAR, Gyro, and etc. These system are usually customized in small quantity but at higher costs. For example, a subway company plans to order 20 sets of SIL2 grade subway Automatic Obstacle Detection System for their 20 trains. The whole project may need $2M. The client asks each systems include six cameras, two LiDARs, and a host matrix with software inside, and these devices must be changed from the original designs to fit into and work with the subway locomotives of that client.
(Environmental-Social-Governance)
As a new tech company providing systems to users over the world, Vispect is working hard to achieve a better ESG (Environmental-Social-Governance) performance while developing its products.
The intention of the founding of Vispect was to let our users enjoy easier and safer driving and operation through our knowledge and skills.
In the process of Vispect development, our requirements for ourselves include:
Reduce the impacts to the environment during the manufacturer process. Improve the environment-friendly degree of our components and packaging materials. Now the products have met ROHS and other environmental protection requirements. The packaging materials are being changed to degradable as possible.
Strictly control the design and manufacturing processes, strive to provide users with high-quality and reliable products, and create positive social value. Our products are widely used for safety protection purposes. Better quality means safer, and may save more people. With this responsibility on our shoulder, we cannot stop improving the performance and quality of our systems.
Supervise ourselves and our suppliers to abide by high standards of business ethics.
Ensure the rights and interests of our employees and encourage work-life balance. High efficiency should not be achieved by overtime alone, but should also be achieved through reasonable management, better planning and preparation, training, tools, and reducing mistakes from the top.
Vispect founders are very glad to leave 10% of the company's shares (changing with rounds of found rising) as an Option Pool for our employees, hoping that in the future Every Team Member Can Enjoy the achievement of Vispect.
